Pineapple Hibiscus Drink

Start by placing the ripe pineapple in a large skillet over medium heat with boiling water.Add the baking soda on top of the pineapple and the hot water.Next, drizzle the pineapple with the water from the skillet and remove the pineapple from the skillet.Remove the crown, peel it and set aside the peel.Then, cut the pineapple in half, into smaller pieces and set aside.In a large pot, add the dried hibiscus flowers, the pineapple peel we cut, the ginger, the cloves, enough water to cover everything and stir.Cover the pot and let everything cook for 15 minutes.In a blender, add all the chopped pineapple, the water and blend until smooth.Then strain everything very well and set the juice aside.Add the strained pineapple pulp to the pot with the other ingredients, stir and let everything cook for another 5 minutes.After this time has passed, remove from the heat and strain everything very well while putting it into a large bowl.Add the sugar, the strained pineapple juice and mix everything very well until smooth.Place it in the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 2 hours.Serve.

  • 1 Pineapple

  • 100g of Dried Hibiscus Flowers
  • 4 Slices of Ginger
  • 1 Teaspoon of Cloves
  • 1 Cup of Water (240ml)
  • ½ Cup of Sugar
