Start by placing a cup of milk in a large skillet over medium to low heat filled with boiling water.
Add the cinnamon sticks, the ground cinnamon, the honey and mix everything very well until the cinnamon dissolves.
Remove it from the skillet and let it cool until it reaches room temperature.
In a large skillet, add the sugar, the ground cinnamon and mix to combine.
Turn on the heat to medium-low and let it cook until the sugar starts to melt.
When that happens, stir everything very well until it’s completely melted.
Add the water, stir until well combined, remove it from the skillet and set aside.
In a large bowl, add the eggs, the sugar and whisk until frothy.
Add the oil, the cinnamon milk mixture, straining all of it, the wheat flour and mix.
Next, add the baking powder and gently mix to incorporate.
Pour all this batter into a 22cm diameter cake pan greased with butter and dusted with wheat flour.
Take it to a preheated oven at 180° C (350° F) and bake for 40 minutes.
After the cake has baked, unmold it onto a nice plate and finish it off with the cinnamon syrup we prepared.
Serve.
