Beans
For Breading
Start by adding the pork sausages to the ground beef in a baking tray.
Season with the salt, the black pepper, the sweet paprika, the garlic powder, the onion powder, the curry powder and mix everything very well until combined.
In a large saucepan, over medium to low heat, add a drizzle of olive oil.
Add the diced onion and sauté until lightly golden brown.
Next, add the diced tomatoes and the diced bell peppers.
Season with the salt, the black pepper, the sweet paprika, the chili flakes, the curry powder and sauté for another 5 minutes.
Add the cooked red beans, the hot sauce, the tomato passata and sauté everything very well for another 5 minutes.
Then place a rack on top of the pan with the beans, add the meat mixture we prepared earlier, the barbecue sauce and spread it with a brush.
Take to a preheated oven at 180° C (350° F) and bake for 35 minutes.
After this time has passed, break up all the meat.
Add it to the pan with the beans, add the grated cheddar cheese and mix everything very well until combined.
Next, take a handful of this mixture and shape it into a ball.
Repeat this process with all the mixture.
Now, coat each of the balls with panko breadcrumbs.
Then, place them in a large pan with hot vegetable oil and fry them until golden brown.
Serve.
